Water fun at Abbotsbury Explorers

Lots of water activities to keep us cool this week. At Abbotsbury Sub-tropical gardens the children used nets to catch ducks and balls in the water, and used whisks to whip up the water to make bubbles. Posy brought in a jar of snails, which inspired us to go on a bug hunt. Later the children practised their skills at peeling carrots with a peeler.

Back at the Pre-school the water theme continued as the children washed babies and baby clothes, then dried them and used pegs to hand up the clothes on a washing line.

At the allotments children searched for bugs, and played in the water tray.

All the children are now participating in the toothbrushing scheme, and doing a fantastic job of cleaning their teeth.
